Boston Interiors opens outlet in Westborough, Massachusetts
Home furnishings retailer Boston Interiors has opened a new showroom in Massachusetts. The 12,000ft² shop is located in the Bay State Commons in Westborough.
The new outlet is the firm's first store in a mixed-use mall space. The leased space is about 3,000ft² smaller than the previous store, reported furnituretoday.com. The store features a more open layout.
The Westborough showroom features Boston Interiors' core lineup from vendors including Bauhaus, Lee Inds., Ligna, Max Home, Riverside, Rowe, Simmons and Vaughan-Bassett in bedding.
The seven-store midpriced retailer said the new store was the chain's top sales performer over the opening weekend.
Boston Interiors president Ken Loring projected the store will generate annual sales of at least $5m to $6m and help push the company's total sales past $35m this year.
The firm has invested about $200,000 in improvements, enhancing interior with new lighting, wood flooring and architectural treatments that include windowed vignette walls.
