Jerome's Furniture to open outlet in California

RBR Staff Writer Published 17 February 2012

US-based retailer Jerome's Furniture has acquired a former Linder's Furniture location, which spans 41,000ft². The new shop, the firm's ninth Southern California store, is expected to open in mid-April.

The company's latest location will build on Jerome's Inland Empire business. Jerome's already operates two shops in neighboring Riverside County, in Corona and Murrieta, California.

The San Diego-based retailer has acquired the property, which was a Wickes Furniture store before it was converted to Linder's. About 20 to 25 sales and other employees will be hired to staff the store.

Jerome's Furniture is investing about $6.5m in acquisition and improvements to the building. The mid-priced retailer is expecting an estimated $10m to $12m in sales from its new store in the first 12 months.
